Everyone here at Bourne Free, every trustee (past and present), every team leader, volunteer, customer and patron on our scene would like to wish Billy Clarke the best of luck in his new endeavor as he leaves Bournemouth after 4 decades of service.
Billy has been an invaluable part of our scene, supporting Bourne free as the face of Over The Rainbow, our easy to access, always accommodating sexual health service. He not only provided sexual health screening, with ground breaking firsts, such as on the spot HIV testing and PREP (first in country to be rolled out at a pride event) but an incredible array of added support for our community, our trans youth and various events throughout every year.
We shall miss him incredible amounts, but we wish him every success in his new path.
Thank you for everything Billy, where would we all be without you!!’

You can say your goodbyes in person at DYMK this Friday from 6pm, where the scene will wave the flag of gratitude to this behemoth of Bournemouth’s gay scene.

📣Bourne Free were once again front a centre last night after being invited to fly the flag at their annual Rainbow Laces inclusive game against Tottenham Hot Spur. It seems that our Chair Lea Martin, accompanied by dedicated volunteers and allies, brought the cherries 🍒 some luck, beating Spurs 1-0. What a result!!🎉
